Popular Gananoque ball diamond to give way for four new sports courts

A popular baseball diamond in Gananoque briefly looked like it would still be available for play for at least another season, but a decision by the local council will see that it is scuttled in favour of four new sports courts. Council considered the idea of building two of the proposed courts up front to save money, thereby leaving the Arlene Cartwright diamond alone. But it decided the long-term cheaper option was to build all four courts at once.
